Secrets in the amulet

Secrets in the amulet By Eiman Muiny

In the space between past and present, reality and fantasy, right and wrong, and between "me" and "you"... there's us. Amidst a fog of contradictions, our beliefs fade, leaving us uncertain if our current reality is the missing truth from the past or a show we must bear to survive. Yet, realizing who we are or who we've become is inevitable;
our beliefs serve as a sanctuary, offering protection, power, guidance, and confidence, fuelling our desires and aspirations.

Understanding of civilizations and art history has elevated my appreciation for art, particularly old master paintings. Throughout history, art has served religious, scientific, and power- purposes, shaped by ancient texts and mythologies.

Secret in the amulet, is one of my paintings that speak about contemporary issues represented in characters and scenes fabricated to serve th subject matter.
By looking at this painting - Symbols serve as representations of these desires, evoking a sence of illuminating light to raise our awarness for fostering confidence and empowerment, hence forming a unified narrative.

The amulet, a talisman imbued with protective powers, symbolizes the convergence of science, magic, and religious belief, shielding individuals from harm. Daggers, adorned with precious stones, indecate self-defense and royal authority, while the dallah signifies Bedouin hospitality and wealth.

Chinaware, once a luxury item, symbolizes elite status and a prosperous life, while orchids evoke love, beauty, and purity. Gold, a symbol of power and luxury since ancient times, adorns the scene, reflecting artistic and technical prowess.

The lady in the painting exudes confidence, elegantly adorned in fur, silk, and pearls, her attire and attitude overstated embodying triumph and self-assuredness as she holds her pearl necklace between her fingers, and the amulet and its secret scroll.
